Sharyland Plantation was the first master-planned community on the Texas-Mexico border featuring a Global 1000 business park and residential, commercial and recreational development. The developer needed marketing materials that conveyed their vision of a “city within a city” where residents could live, work and play.
But not only was the South Texas market unfamiliar with the concept of a master-planned community, the developer had yet to break ground – the site was still 6,000 acres of empty onion fields.
DHL Creative coordinated a state-wide photo shoot and created composite photo illustrations that were incorporated into a colorful brochure. Readers were encouraged to “imagine” the exciting features and world-class amenities that
would soon be available at Sharyland Plantation. Inserts for The Grove Town Center, Mission Sports Complex and Sharyland Business Park highlighted the extraordinary living and business environment within the community. Additionally, a quarterly newspaper was produced to educate McAllen area residents and keep them abreast of the development and construction progress.
